Impressive line-up of judges announced for incubator programme

ChristchurchNZ and Airbus are pleased to announce the judging panel for the New Zealand Aerospace Challenge 2019 incubator programme.

The judges will be deciding on which concepts address the Challenge’s problem statement – ‘to design a product or service which identifies, monitors or measures water or soil pollution using satellite data and unmanned aircraft technology’ and who will be included in the Challenge’s five month in-depth incubator.

The judges are:


ChristchurchNZ Business Attraction and Commercialisation Manager Gill Dal Din said the sheer spread of expertise and experience demonstrated by the judges indicates how wide-ranging the Challenge is.

“We’re delighted to be working with such a high calibre of judges from across New Zealand’s agritech, space, aerospace, academic, business and innovation sectors.

“It’s really impressive to see all these sectors working together as part of the New Zealand Aerospace Challenge 2019 – it is this cross section of expertise and experience that will enable truly innovative ideas to come out of the Challenge,” said Dal Din.

Up to 20 participants will be selected for the incubator programme which will run from May to September culminating in a two-day event in Christchurch demonstrating the technology at a ‘pitchfest’ and awards event in Christchurch.
